App doesnt work

I just got the app and at the beginning it wants me to type in my childs name, sex, and birthday. It will let me type in her name but when i select the other two just a white box appears and it wont let me do anything. Therefore I cant use the app at all. If they could fix this problem then maybe this would be a worth while app.
